Fivestone was tapped by the Event Strategy Group (ESG) to craft a digital photo booth experience for Lenovo’s global trade events. The experience captures a person’s photo and utilizes generative AI to instantly transform their likeness into a unique, branded & stylized persona. Guests step up to the booth and answer a series of questions that defines their current engagement with AI. And with a single snapshot, the AI workflow processes the photo, applying customized generative models that reimagines the individual as a stylized 3D avatar. The photobooth offers a playful, immersive experience, producing digital keepsakes that blend reality with creative, AI-driven transformations.

Technology Approach

The software team leveraged the Unity Game Engine to develop the front-end kiosk application, accelerating the process with our internal tools and modules that streamline the development pipeline. This custom application communicates with a Node.js backend, which manages AI generation requests via Stable Diffusion, marketing email capture, image storage, and guest email delivery. By combining our expertise in Unity’s development environment with web application frameworks, we successfully created the experience within a tight deadline.
