Fivestone Studios is a Nashville-based creative production company that a national clientele of agencies and brands trust as their creative secret weapon. Our MO is taking on giant-sized creative challenges and making heroes of our clients through an impressive arsenal of animation, live action, and creative technology. But behind every conquest stands a nimble team of artistic warriors that live by our five stones of culture: honor, bravery, vision, generosity, and excellence.

And the good news is that remote is OK! We have developed a cloud-based working environment that allows the team to work on the latest workstations and software completely remote. That means that re-location to Nashville is optional, requiring a high level of communication and personal responsibility to manage our active pipeline of projects. We are on the hunt for a freelance creative director to join our band of talented artists and storytellers. In this role you can expect a diverse range of missions from concepting & storyboarding for live action and FX, directing 2D and 3D motion graphics and animation, and leading design and content teams for massive events, digital activations and real time game engine projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding and demonstrable experience in the following:

• Creative Direction

  • Strong eye for design, art, & typography

  • Conceptual - Strong ability to interpret and transform client briefs & scripts into dynamic storyboards and style frames

  • Experiential - Track record creative directing experiential projects (large screen, projection mapping, creative technology, event content, etc) is a big plus

  • Curious - You are comfortable with and drawn to learning new technologies and software that help you make cooler and/or more efficient work

  • Problem solver- quick to break down problems into solutions, whether a script, a set of boards, or a creative obstacle

  • Wordsmithing and ability to write creatively is a huge plus

• Leadership

  • Oversight - You are comfortable leading multiple teams of artists on complex projects. You are good at providing actionable, positive feedback and direction to drive the highest level of production value and creative

  • Problem solver - You are quick to identify potential problems and find smart solutions for your team & clients.

  • Composure - You demonstrate calm and flexibility as you lead your teams in a fast-paced environment

  • Servant Leader - You care about people and the value of great team chemistry. You back this up by leading as a collaborator, a mentor, and demonstrating that the best place for your ego is at the door

  • Solid verbal and written skills with the team and clients

  • Power of persuasion - you demonstrate strong ability to successfully pitch ideas to clients

  • Strong personal time management skills as well as awareness of project deadlines.

EXPERIENCE

• Has considerable experience and knowledge working in 3D software - Cinema 4D and/or Maya, Adobe Creative Suite, After Effects with related plugins</p >

• Strong portfolio demonstrating ability in creating beautiful motion graphics, type, design, & layouts</p >

• Demonstrates agility operating a fast paced, dynamic, and client oriented environment

• 5+ Years of progressive experience (Strength of portfolio taken into consideration)

Position is contract-to-hire. Salary (compensation based on experience and ability) with benefits including 401k, health insurance, dental insurance, and life insurance.
