A little over two years ago, designers Daniel Petrino and Caresse Haaser set out to make a fun and unique internal project for Fivestone. After a (perhaps overambitious) brainstorm session, they produced a set of boards that took the Fivestone logo on a journey through iconography inspired by our own little corner of Nashville. A guitar, a train, a Cintiq pen, Marathon Village’s old water tower…

As most “just for fun!” endeavors go, this animation continually got set aside, falling in line behind important work. Caresse continued to revisit the project on and off over the years, with the help of coworkers’ critiques and technical advice. Things really came together at the end, with Carson’s sound design and Traylor’s proposed concept of capping it off with an homage to that distinct Southern “Spirit.” 😉
